Cilcain Show raises funds for St. Mary's Church and the village community

Although Cilcain Show has gradually changed and grown down the years, the spirit of the old Society remains. Traditional competitions bring together the community in joint endeavour, enjoyment and interest. The show attracts about 4,000 visitors and raises funds for the church and local community.

August Bank Holiday Monday 11.00am.

In the picturesque village of Cilcain in Flintshire, North Wales.

Cilcain Show

A popular and enjoyable

family day out.

****** EXCITING NEWS - BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 30th August ******

As you will be aware the show was cancelled this year due to the pandemic and uncertainty regarding restrictions.

You will have seen that the mountain race is continuing and we anticipate this will be well supported.  We felt it was important to try and provide at least something for the village and local businesses on a day when we would usually be bustling!

We have had kind permission from Cilcain Community Council to stage a static vehicle show on The Waen. If you have or know anybody who has an interesting car, van, bike, tractor....or other vehicle that you feel you could park up and display then please message me directly to register. (Places limited)

Also the White Horse will be lighting the BBQ on their car park from 12 midday so pop in for a tasty lunch and a cool drink in the sunshine.

The Cilcain Community Shop will also be open on the day offering an array of goods and the gallery in the village hall is open for all to view.

Please note that social distancing advice remains in place and the public toilets are still closed so please factor that into your plans!

*****We are hoping to have a couple more suprises but last minute arrangements are still ongoing.... so WATCH THIS SPACE!! ******

Hopefully the sun will be shining and we can all come together as a community once again and celebrate this famous day on Cilcain's calendar.

We do need some Marshalls so please get in touch if you can spare any time on the day.
